Mon travail est centr\u00e9 sur l’humain, ses relations \u00e0 lui-m\u00eame et au monde qui l’entoure. C’est une<\/span>
esp\u00e8ce d’exorcisme car l’humanit\u00e9 et son devenir m’angoissent un peu. J\u2019affectionne les mises en<\/span>
sc\u00e8ne et les installations afin d\u2019immerger le public dans mon imaginaire et susciter r\u00e9flexions et<\/span>
interrogations. La peinture est mon mode d’expression favori mais l\u2019inspiration et les circonstances<\/span>
me m\u00e8nent d\u00e9sormais o\u00f9 elles veulent, en toute libert\u00e9. En fonction des th\u00e8mes abord\u00e9s je change<\/span>

La folie humaine et sa d\u00e9sinvolture sous-tendent mon travail qui se veut engag\u00e9 et singulier.<\/span><\/h6>

Avec \u00e0 son paroxysme \u00ab Help \u00bb grav\u00e9e \u00e0 la suite des attentats dont la violence nous a tous secou\u00e9s.<\/span><\/p>

Mes inqui\u00e9tudes \u00e9cologiques percent \u00e0 jour dans ma s\u00e9rie des \u00ab Pretty Plastic People \u00bb qui sont mon humble participation \u00e0 une n\u00e9cessaire prise de conscience collective. L’id\u00e9e m’est venue en faisant<\/span>
mes courses car tous ces sur-emballages inutiles m’horripilent. J’ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 collecter ces<\/span>
plastiques non recyclables sans trop savoir comment aborder le sujet. Finalement c’est l’univers de la<\/span>
mode qui m’a inspir\u00e9 en premier. Les sculptures sont gaies et color\u00e9e pour montrer l’envie de<\/span>
consommation que ces emballages sont destin\u00e9s \u00e0 susciter tout comme la d\u00e9sinvolture de certaines<\/span>
personnes face \u00e0 ce probl\u00e8me. Une esp\u00e8ce d’envo\u00fbtement volontaire des fabricants pour faire<\/span>
oublier le d\u00e9sastre \u00e9cologique qui se cache derri\u00e8re. Ce travail met \u00e9galement en parall\u00e8le l’industrie<\/span>
de la mode qui est \u00e9cologiquement d\u00e9vastatrice. Le colibri a beau y faire, Pos\u00e9idon devient vert au<\/span>
creux de la vague et nous continuons \u00e0 danser dans la temp\u00eate\u2026 ( \u00ab La part bleue du colibri \u00bb,<\/span>
\u00ab Poseidon in the hollow of the wave \u00bb, \u00ab Let\u2019s dance in a wild storm \u00bb ).<\/span><\/p>

Par ailleurs une info abjecte entendue \u00e0 la radio un matin de janvier m\u2019a lanc\u00e9 dans mon \u00ab Indian<\/span>
blues \u00bb. En Inde, des associations de lutte pour les droits des femmes alertent sur un nombre<\/span>
anormalement \u00e9lev\u00e9 d’ablations forc\u00e9es de l’ut\u00e9rus chez les coupeuses de cannes \u00e0 sucre. Les<\/span>
exploitants persuadent ces femmes de se faire op\u00e9rer en leur faisant croire \u00e0 un risque de cancer<\/span>
alors que leur seule motivation est de palier \u00e0 la diminution de la productivit\u00e9 de ces ouvri\u00e8res lors<\/span>
des menstruations et des grossesses. Ils vont m\u00eame jusqu’\u00e0 pr\u00eater l’argent n\u00e9cessaire \u00e0 cette<\/span>
mutilation ce qui repr\u00e9sente au bas mot une saison de travail compl\u00e8te pour pouvoir rembourser.<\/span>
Ces associations pointent \u00e9galement une entente financi\u00e8re entre le secteur m\u00e9dical et les<\/span>
dirigeants… Malgr\u00e9 la rudesse du sujet mes toiles se veulent tr\u00e8s color\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019image des v\u00eatements<\/span>
des femmes indiennes. Les bouquets symboliques d\u2019ovaires et de trompes m\u00eal\u00e9s aux tiges de canne<\/span>
\u00e0 sucre et les \u00e9cailles du caduc\u00e9e m\u00e9dical forment un joli emballage pour faire passer la pilule.<\/span>
